Thiruvananthapuram; Scientist from Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India at Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology will be interacting with the Biology students, as part of Insight ó National-2022 project at Thiruvananthapuram National College Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Kerala and former Professor of Biotechnology at IIT Chennai, Dr. A. Jayakrishnan will conduct a talk on “Biology, Career and Innovations”. Center for Bioscience and IQAC will jointly organize the interactive session on 26-7-2022 at College Seminar Hall.
“Insight o National” is a project that is being implemented with the objective of empowering the students in their respective career fields. A part of the dynamic project “Learning is Life”, this project was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Food and Civil Supplies G R Anil in December 2021. Then Hon’ble Chief Secretary of Kerala Dr V P Joy formally launched this project on 12-07-22. This project envisages that prominent personalities in various fields will share their experiences and views with the students of the college and introduce the students to innovative career opportunities in various fields in the future.
Head of Botany Department Mrs. S. Anitha and Head of Microbiology Department Mrs. Geethu Krishna will offer felicitations in the function presided over by National College Principal Dr. S A Shahjahan. IQAC Coordinator and Head of Department of Biotechnology Mr. Shabir Ahmed N will deliver the vote of thanks for the function where students of Biotechnology will sing a prayer song.
